Events, Talks, and Miscellany
The Asset Basket was my first effort at a ‘donation drive’ for small independent game creators. It ran from mid-April to mid-May of 2015, and the donated assets are available in perpetuity.
The premise of the Asset Basket was simple: Artists, programmers, and musicians could donate to the project, and their work is hosted on itch.io to be used for free via attribution license. I hope to host more projects like it in the future.
In December of 2014, I teamed up with Carolyn VanEseltine, Dani Church, and Jamie Sandel and submitted a game to Zoe Quinn’s Antholojam, a curated anthology of games themed on the Golden Age of Sci-Fi.
As of January 2015, the anthology has been released! Our game, Does Canned Rice Dream of a Napkin Heap?, has received independent coverage from several video game news sites.
Tundra Video Game Album
In 2015 I started composing an album of music for video games; this is still a work in progress and will be part of an upcoming larger project, but in the meantime the music is available to use for free via attribution license.
